He also stressed the importance of aviation players and the government in working together to make travelling more affordable for everyone.

This initiative was first launched by the airline with the support of the Ministry of Transport during this year’s Chinese New Year period and was well received by the community.  Its success prompted the airline to repeat the initiative for the Kaamatan, Gawai and Hari Raya Aildilfitri celebrations with even more flights and seats.

Guests travelling during these busy periods are advised to check-in online and print out their boarding passes beforehand. Web and mobile check-in is also available 14 days prior to departure on all AirAsia flights. Guests departing from Senai International Airport in Johor Bahru meanwhile, are encouraged to use AirAsia’s Fast Airport Clearance Experience System (FACES). The airline’s all-new facial recognition system offers a seamless experience from check-in to aircraft. Registering for FACES is free of charge and you can learn how to do it here.
